NGD for Goldmember: Back in Black

[Goldmember]

I fell for this 2017 Ebony Standard T whilst searching for an Explorer. Black is the new gold! Neck is slim taper, like the 2013 Tribute 60s, but with the thicker fingerboard, it feels much like my 2016 Special Faded T. Only changes made were simply for personal preference: speed knobs, switch washer, and tulip buttons. No string change yet...I have not even removed the pickguard plastic...I'm just diggin' it like it is. An Explorer will be mine someday.

Thanks, mates! She feels as shmooth as a pancake. Nibs are not an issue at all. The rosewood fretboard is, indeed, thicker than in previous years (prior to 2016). Despite the beauty of the wood grain on the cherry and cherry burst finishes, there was something about this ebony that bonded with me. I dig it. I dig it. I DIG IT!

OK, gotta say this: I love the speed knobs! now you got me wanting to put some on my SG
