Just got back home a little while ago with my new baby. 2018 Les Paul Classic P90 in Pelham Blue. Oh it's awesome, just what I wanted! I only played for a few minutes with my Origin, but my smile just kept getting bigger and bigger. It's a blast to play even though it needs a set up to my liking, which I'm going to get right on.

I've wanted a P90 LP for years, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I thought it was going to be a Gold Top, until I saw these. The neck feels great, it sounds great, I love it already!

One thing about Pelham Blue, it's not photogenic, it's a darker blue than it looks like in the photos.

Come on, I'm waitin' to see her naked... :pound-hand:

I just took the pick guard off see what it looked like without it only to find evidence that it hasn't always been on there.

I'm in the process of wiping it down good, oiling the fret board, tightening up the tuners (they were all loose), restringing it with proper strings, and just a general set up. I don't think anything has been done to this guitar since it was new.

Thanks everybody! I'm so happy with it so far!

It took longer to clean her up than I anticipated, once I got it under my bench light it was pretty dirty, definitely well played, but I don't think it's ever been checked out since it was new. The tuners were all loose, the fret board was dirty and dry, the action was a little low and the truss rod needed an adjustment. That's as far as I got with the setup. I need to tweak the intonation and pickup heights, but I can get to that later. It's been a long day and I'm catching a buzz.

Here are a couple of naked shots. hehehe... I like the look of the pick guard on, but I sure like the feel so much more with it gone. I might have to remove the poker chip to balance things out. I also swapped out the speed knobs for top hats (I hate speed knobs) and replace the truss rod cover with a black one.

Don't worry, I put a screw back in the tone hole so nothing leaks out. :D

It's almost impossible "for me" to get a shot of the actual color, this is the only angle I could get that shows the true color...

I forgot to pull the pickups to see if there were any markings, but I don't think I need to. Looking in the control cavity it doesn't look like anything has ever been messed with so I would assume the pickups are stock.

Thanks guys, I'm loving the neck profile and it's been a blast to ply P90s again!

I'm not sure these stock P90s are going to make the cut though, The bridge pickup is not bad, but it has to jacked way up to almost touching the strings to sound good and I'm not really liking that.

I have a few P90s laying around, time for some experimenting.
