Tried a D tuna with it. Boo urns!

I realize it is not for floating units and mine is not. Got it set up amd it worked OK, I normally play E, drop D is a rare occurence. As I use the bar, unit would seem to slide out yhe back a little thus throwing E off but could just slide it ahead and back to E it went.
At rehearsal Sunday, it fell right out of tune. I used the small allen key on the side of unit to retune to E . Wouldn't turn far enough so loosened the lock at nut and tuned up a bit. Just didn't work worth a
. So I just tuned to E amd left unit out of the mix.
Yesterday I discombobulated it.
Boo urns. Doesn't work well it is hokey.
Instead I set up the Godin to be non floating and as a non locking I can simply tune down to drop D. As it doesn't float backwards (I put in a shim) when you slacken Low E it does not change pitch of other strings.
So now I can get whammy, drop D, acoustic, electric and synth from the same guitar.
Hapoy happy joy joy.
D Tuna - go suck a duck.
