NGD - ES LP Goldtop o.o

That there ES goldtop is really nice, lovely, special and wonderful. Who would not want one?

Just looked at their website, wish I hadn't... If I was in the US, a purchase would have been made!
Gibson Les Paul Special Plus 2016 Limited Run Heritage Cherry Floor Mo

You don't know the half of it. Don't search ES 335 Historic Reissues. 58's and 59's at lower theanstandard model prices. I don't know how long I can hold out. :censored:

I just noticed... The pole screws: Where they already adjusted like that from the factory?

I don't know if Gibson Memphis did that or if CME did that. It wasn't me, though.

I have been wanting to experiment with p/u heights and pole screws, but I am afraid to touch anything at the moment because I am enjoying it the way it is.

I did wake up declaring I have to change the strings to 9's though. My bends are off. And my usual cat strangling tones sound worse than usual. My game is off. :p

Goldtop NGD pictures should be banned, some of us don't have a goldtop, and its not fair.

Lovely guitar, and that bloody music shop is superb. You Americans are very lucky to have all those choices. By the time I buy in Korea or buy from them add shipping and import taxes the price double.

I used to shy away from CME (they have a great youtube channel, though!). Very high end. But when they serve up a deal, they don't mess around. My last 2 guitars came from them. Fantastic experiences and amazing deals (no exaggeration) both times.

Nice guitar and I like the F-holes. Your guitar is as good as gold.

Thanks! :yesway:

I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. I did clean it up, I changed strings, I set the pole screws flat and tweaked the pickup height. The medium rounded neck is near perfect. There is no shoulder at all. I can even wrap my thumb over the top for Hendrix style chords, something I cannot usually do on Gibson necks. The lightweight just makes it an absolute joy to play. 8 or 9 lb Les Pauls never bothered me, but being so light ~6 lbs., there is no stress, no weight, no balance problems; effortless.

It sure filled that empty spot where I wanted an LP.
