Snowing here too. This morning, 4 hours snowboarding in knee high pow. Not bad for mid December.
With outside temps in the -25/-30°C in the last week, house is getting real dry with the wood stove cranked. My Sp1 is starting to have fret sprout. Had it happen in past winters, but I didn't address it. Dis the season to do it.
It seems t be a 1 piece veneer. Who knows what is underneath!
With a name like that, of course she doesn't look half bad.I have named this guitar "Doc". She is playing very (very) nice! She does not look half bad either
A case ? What's that ?Get a humidifier and a dedicated room, even of that room is a closet. Keep them in their caes. If you can't do a room with a humisifier, get Humidipaks for each case.

My guitars hang out in the wide open. The Sp1 is the only one sprouting. But truss rods have to be readjusted and in that transition period, they get out of tune more often.
Look at the pup cavity pics in my photos. I fear that this is plywood. What do you think? Can you tell from the back or by looking at the bottom? Curiosity...I may sand mine down and paint it with a nice automotive paint...
There is one above and about 5 on page 1, but no close up. However, with my fine photography, you can zoom. That said, your word is taken and I am happy. I like mahogany! It is surprisingly light! There's no close up of any pickup casualty.
