NGD - EPI ES 335 PRO

Looks great ! But the neck pup cover is a little strange looking (third pic):rolf:

I am REALLY luv'n the EPI!

I remember why I was heartbroken when I sold my Sheridan. This guitar is really fitting me well.
I do believe it will become my #1 over the Gibby SG and the G&L Legacy USA.
Cant wait to get home and see how it will play with the Mesa Mini-Rec. That will determine if I get another amp or not.

I know it is not a Gibson 335, but I did save about $3K getting the Epi. Honestly my skill level does not merit that expensive of a guitar.

335 are great guitar. been holding out for awhile cause got a feeling its the final stop tone wise in my journey. Searchin for the the slower attack of a full note a semi does..LP & SG are immediate but the 335 brings its up from within...strumming..thick leads..had a 339..just a lil too close to a LP. When i play 335..dont ever want put em down

the OP's guitar is a truly lovely color.

I sure do like my Epiphone. I sold my Wilshire to a friend, so my ES-339 is my only Epi now.
But she will serve. Great neck, no fret problems, fret over binding is very well made, I replaced
hardware and have had no further grief.

Our good Doctor shames me for yanking out perfectly good Epi hardware, and I can't argue
with him. He's a fan, and knows his way around the Epiphone gear very well, and I listen
when he speaks. So consult the Doctor before "improving' your Epi. Then if you make up
your mind to start modding, consult me. *grins

If you decide to keep your ES-335 stock, rock on. Great thread, thanks for posting.

Which Doctor is this to which you refer?

Don't we have DrBGood on this site?

Or is he still languishing on ETSG? Or was I watching the Travel Channel?
If he hasn't been invited here, maybe I'll have to extend a hand. I always
value his opinion, even if I have my own. He's cool.

Sorry if I've muddled anything. The good Doctor and I tend to banter back
and forth from a position of mutual respect. Anyway, he plays and praises
Epiphones, and has a lot more to him than you might think.
