Follow up:

I finally had a chance to use this PRS in a full band rehearsal.
I was quite happy with it! It was like a slightly more civilized version of the two Gibson’s that I’ve set up over the years in a similar fashion to this PRS in its “off the shelf” form.
The bridge humbucker had enough grit, and grunt to cut through. A very polished sort of sound that was easy to tame with the guitars volume knob. A tug of the tone knob(to coil split) got me through Pink Floyd's “Time” for the verses, and first half of the solo. The neck position P90, rolled back on its volume knob, got me through(cleaned up enough for) the choruses without killing the dirt box I was using.
When I flicked back to the P90 for the second half of the solo, I had already rolled the volume control up during the first note of the solo with the bridge pickup engaged, it was thick, creamy, smooth joy...just dripping out of the amp.

I made it through about an hour and a half set, with only that guitar, with no problems at all.
We hadn’t played in some time, so we all kinda wanted to blow off some steam. There wasn’t much clean play to be heard, just bits and pieces. Those bits and pieces were pretty good though.

Overall, it was a very polished sounding guitar “off the rack”. The neck has a full feel, and is comfortable, and glassy smooth to play, for me. The usual forearm sore spot has migrated toward my wrist by about an inch, and is far less evident(but I think a full three hour night might be more telling).
With my nylon(satiny) Evel Knievel-esque strap, this thing kinda neck dives to a specific point. Every time I released the neck, it would fall to a couple of degrees beyond parallel with the floor...with fervor. Not a horrible thing to me, but notable.
The controls are easy enough for me to adapt to, and quite handy.
This has been one of the best behaved guitars, off the shelf, that I’ve ever had so far.
Right up there with my SG Standard P90, and Les Paul Studio Faded Mahogany.
Just not quite as “visceral” sounding/feeling, I guess...I don’t quite know how to express it...
I guess an apt analogy might be...
This guitar behaves as though it’s been to obedience school, always in control.
Unlike my others(Gibson, Gladiator, ESP LTD, Schecter, Fender, Xaviere) that are always pulling at the choker chain...begging to be unleashed.
None of them are bad dogs though...really...

Thanks! Yep those knobs are clear. I hated them passionately...at first. I don’t actually see much of them when I’m playing it, they work fine, and they are comfortable to use. Soooo....
I guess they’re staying...for now.

Thanks! I see the resemblance...PRS calls it their own. The saddles are brass though. I really dig it.
I play very “percussively”, tapping out rhythm with my picking hand, and this wrap around bridge is cozy for me. No stabby bits found so far. I honestly have not detected any intonation anomalies, so haven’t felt much need to check it even...yet. Six string chords ring true through twelfth to fifteenth fret...so my ear says, “good enough for rock and roll”. I’m betting all’s within 3 cents at current set up.
