A couple sorta spontaneous buys.

An Epi Futura V, the finish is a sorta metallic "sparkle"? that morphs to different colors in different lighting. Ebony board, Stainless frets, locking tuners, new pickup design.... I thought it was really cool and is very hard to photograph the color shift. Greenish to pinky...

Also saw a thread on the MF about Synergy amps.
Who?
What?
They have a basic tube amp with clean channel and various preamps can be inserted, 2 channel with 12AX7s. I saw the Marshall 800 one and watched some videos. Loosen 2 thumbscrews and pull out to remove.
So cool. 2 separate 800s so they can be set differently with one louder for solos PLUS the built in clean???
Then I got the Peavey 6505 as well. I suspect my little 6505 MH will go in the band trailer as backup.

SOunds fantastic, 3 button footswitch, various IR for the XLR line out.
This thing can replace a lot of boutique amps!

There is also a 50 watt full sized version that takes 2 preamp modules ( 4 channels total!) but for the sizse, I have a JVM 410 already.

This lil bugger rocks!!

Yep, you bet. I haven't compared yet to 6505MH but it ssems to sound pretty close. So if I ever think I want a SLO, I can juwt get the module. No digital here either.
Someone had heads kinda like these, back in the 90s-2000s…you could put 2 or 4 “modules” in a big head…can’t remember who, but I do remember them in the front of the music shop. It’s an interesting concept, for sure.

Edit: Found them! It was Randall amps.

Oh and the 800 module has 3x 12AX7. One is essentially a PI or a zero watt power amp. So setting channel volume up reacts like power amp distortion regardless of the actual power amp Master setting. Very cool.
Also the btight switch is like the default bright cap in an 800, no bright cap or a substitute cap.

Nice, I have been looking at the Epi Futura ES 335, but unfortunately none has been seen in the wild around here.
Enjoy. The Futuras look like a nice series of guitars
