NGD, and It's official. I'm an IBANEZ Fan Boy!!

Sensational guitar!! Love the S Series Prestige plus the Edge bridge IMO is nicer than a FR.
Good on you man, play that bad boy hard!!
Beautiful.

I have 2 Prestiges if we are sharing.

Thank you... and Yes yes.... we are always sharing. Especially when they are 2 beautiful S models as you have. Those are beautiful.
I agree on the Edge, it's fantastic. My S model is the LowPro Edge. I never tried LowPro until now..... it's great. Rock solid tuning, and low low action.

Break out the Ibanez !!!

Sweet! I like me some Ibanez's! My current one..

Yea, that's an entirely different level of embrace.... that's steroid embrace. I still say embrace...... maybe just a bit more cautiously, lol.
The whole problem is I was checking out some that were bargains.

Was so impressed with the high quality- low dollars that it feeds on itself.

If they have a phenomenal guitar at $200, I can only imagine how nice the Jem or Prestige line is.

I will say this though, I would shock myself if I don't make a major purchase before too long. Mrs Steve has given me permission to land... so....

I am a weak weak man. But I'll have a badazz shredder.

I see quite a few Edge tremolos. The main problem with the Ibanez Edge is in the fulcrum points. They tend to wear the knife edges due to dissimilarities in the hardness of the materials...but this should not be a problem for most hobby players, for example, guys who play on weekends.

Guys I know who play them everyday, start flattening the knife edges a little and they tend to have an issue coming back to pitch. I've seen titanium pivots made for them, which might help.

Keep in mind that Vai's guitars are all equipped with the Ibanez Edge Pro, which addressed this issue...

For the record @RobV and @Jethro Rocker;

You two are not helping my gas attack.

I will direct Mrs. Steve to both of you if I happen to weaken in the next week or two and find me a nice Jem or Prestige.

Be prepared, she's tough for a 100lb five foot tall woman.

Oh .... how the gas is pulling me under.

And our guy @marshalltsl is in that group as well.

Oh No!!!

Better not play one of the USA Jackson's either!!!

I'll let you know how deep my illness runs- I actually have a brand new Floy Rose Original in a box, on my parts shelf , ready to go Lol.

Actually not a heavy user of the tremolo, I use it but not wildly or often, but my sickness dictates that I still have a good quality back up ready to go Lol.

P.S. the Edge seems to be much more sensitive to movement than the Floyd. Things like 'split bends' (bending the 'g' up a half step then playing the unbent b/e strings) are tough to pull off cleanly and you can get a "sonic wobble" out of palm muting chords from the bridge movement.

But it doesn't take long to get used to the sensitivity. It's not really a problem, just a different approach to the bridge is needed.

One of the local session guitar guys I know has a very early JEM. He swears by Break Free CLP on the fulcrum. He applies one drop periodically with a toothpick.
