NGD: 2015 Gibson Les Paul CM Single Humbucker

Nice looking guitar. I like my Gibson Zero I just got, but the CM you got for 399 kind of makes wish I'd of got it instead.

Thanks! It is a really cool guitar and I've really been wanting a single humbucker guitar.

Single pickup guitars are great. I especially like them straight into the amp. Just get down to playing, kinda thing. Cheers
 
I'm getting GAS for the CM again.
But, I also have a case of GAS going on for the new Superior Drummer 3 upgrade ;)
Maybe some musicians die younger from all the stress GAS causes - lol.
 
The CM will sell out and be gone for good...I'm guessing the Drummer upgrade will always be there...

I had a future tribute SG with the same finish - crap! &, I won't be buying another Gibson with that finish. The guitar was really nice, but when chunks of wax/finish/something drop off after a few weeks use leaving untreated bare wood under that's just unpleasant, imho.

For $399, yours looks great, enjoy.

I've never owned a guitar with 61's, but have always liked the sound clips of guitars with it - a different voice from the 57s or 490s, but a lovely midrange punch aswellas sounding sweet.
 
399. New. For a Gibson is hard to beat
But the ZERO is 399 as well at Sam Ash and comes with 2 pickups and a proper finish
 
My hair was that color as a young un and to my elbows hahahahahha,now its white and short. i got a pic somewhere around here where i looked worse than Charles Manson

This picture was Sophmore year and I didn't get it cut until Senior Year...I had the longest hair in my school...girls liked to brush it which was cool with me. :D
 
Hey Sp8cter, congrats on the CM. :dood:

How does it sound? Does it have that LP tone? I know the single pickup throws some comparisons off. But it is my belief that the single cut, 16th fret set neck joint accounts for much of the LP sound.

When I got the ES LP I was buying the Goldtop, LP config, and the really nice Custom Shop appointments of the guitar. I had reservations that it would sound more like ny 335 than an LP. But it has that LP tone. I think they all sound very similar, but LP's do have a distinctive something about them. :hmmm:

I think a refin would be a waste of time and effort, but stripping it, grain filling it, and doing a nice Walnut and gloss nitro lacquer...:shock:

It sounds great, but without the neck pickup I can't really capture "The" Les Paul sound. It's quite a bit chimy, but it does Great distortion...not the real heavy stuff. Good AC-DC and Scorpions sounds. It will do some good clean too, but again I have to really roll the tone back or it just gets way to sharp. Almost reminds me of some Strat qualities too...

I'm keeping it and I may just leave it stock. No one is biting on the G-Force I have for sale right now so I see no reason to remove it. The custom pickup I have is hotter so I'm not sure I want to go there either...I may just sell the Eruptor pickup??? It is said to have the Van Halen sound...
