Next on Hoarders in Anaheim Hills.... :-)

Wow! That’s a lot thinner neck than my “club” necked version. It sounds more like my V, for thickness.

Congrats! These are a great batch of guitars from Gibson, in my opinion! They break-in like an excellent pair of boots... Always ready to go to work with you. Nice find!

Looking at the shot of the nut/strings and then looking at a bunch of guitars, I never realized how high Gibsons ride on the nut compared to PRS and Fender.

I noticed that too....

When i cut my own nuts, i run them deep...

Personal preference i am certain.

That guitar looks brand new!

The faded is an excellent SG, and the crescents are the icing on the cake. Just a great rocking machine - you did well to find one and in that condition... A keeper for sure.

Any plans to change the bridge pickup or do you like the 490T?

Congrats on a cool SG.... Can't believe the amazing condition that it is in. Looks like 10 out of 10... :yesway:. I'm assuming you paid a premium for the minty-ness!

With the steep headstock angle, the shallowness of the nut slots is proper. In fact the B string on yours looks deeper than the other strings... check for binding!

I have an '02 Moony, originally in the Worn Cherry, that I refinished into a different color. I bought mine in poor condition, but it was worth it. The guitar is a joy to play. Ebony board feels so good, and the guitar resonates like crazy. Any fret sprouts on yours?

I like the 490T in mine. It gives me a deliciously different flavor of tone that I can't get from other bridge humbuckers!

Grump, no plans on changing anything. For some of my guitars, like my older cars, I feel less as an owner and more as a steward preserving something for the next generation. But of course I’m gonna play it just as I burn the rear tires off my 69 Vette :D
