I am super excited about this project. I just purchased this solid walnut body. It will be drilled for an angled wrap around bridge, and have a bolt-on neck with 24 3/4 scale. I bought this unfinished maple neck with rosewood board and block inlays. I am not sure if hardware should be chrome or black, or what pickups I will used, but it will be NICE!!

Wait...pickup switch, single volume knob, and output jack?...or is the edge going to be drilled for output?
Whatever! That looks mighty!!!

Thank you and good point. Its absence escaped my attention, but it is mentioned in the description. I messaged the seller.

This body is a stunning single piece of figured black walnut, with a classic LP-style shape and beautiful hand-polished high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

The body is routed for two humbucker-sized pickups, and the rear loading control cavity is drilled for a toggle switch and two 3/8" tone/volume pots in a 1/1/1 configuration. It features a standard stratocaster-sized 56mm/square heel/5/8" depth neck pocket on a slight angle for use with a tune-o-matic bridge. There is a 7/8" output jack hole that will accept cups or plates, and 5/8" counter-sinking around the neck screw holes for neck ferrules. The control and pickup cavities are shielded with graphite shielding paint and the body includes a matching walnut control cavity cover.

Pilot holes for a tune-o-matic bridge have been drilled and can be widened to 1/4", 1/2", or 7/16" on request. Holes are set for a 24.75" or 25" scale neck, but it adjusting to a 25.5" scale length is no trouble. No tail piece holes have been drilled. I am happy to drill for a standard tail piece or string-thru at no extra charge, or you could use a wrap-around bridge or bigsby tremolo - tonnes of options!

OK... the body part sounds really cool. You didn't disclose your source.
But the neck is from somebody else?
Or, do the specs of each line up?

Good eye. I did see the one on the back after purchase and came to the conclusion it was mineral streaking like on the side. It would be a hell of a crack not to mention. I will ask and use your marked photos. Thanks

Interesting that the photo above cuts out almost exactly at the place the crack (if it is a crack) would run across the edge.

That body is real nice. Love the grain and shine. Hope the seller reply is positive. It would be a shame for the seller not to disclose that earlier.

Well, im thinking this will turn into a fantastic player. Looking forward to the build.

So, it is through the body and secured with epoxy and sawdust. I have asked for a refund. Thanks to Gasket for his eagle eyes.
Bummer about the nondisclosure. I did check out the luthier's Reverb website. Pretty nice stuff.
