New Years Food Plans

So boys and girls. What do we all have planned for party food the next couple days.

We stopped doing a blow out party for the Eve. Probably just some snacky stuff. Popcorn. Sparkling wine.... which by the way popcorn pairs up nicely with a sparking wine. Sit in front of the fireplace with snacks and watch the Northwestern/Utah Bowl game. Yes. I root for NU.

For several years now we’ve been doing a News Years Day brunch. This years gonna be a homemade breakfast pizza I make. Mrs. IbLive will do a French toast casserole. Mimosas. May be a smoked salmon/avocado spread. Pretty laid back. Watch Tournament of Roses Parade.

And yes. I know. Pictures or it didn’t happen.

We've done Lobster for the past few years, but it's getting old. We have it too often.

I'm grilling up Hot Wings tomorrow. Easy to sit and eat with Beer and a Movie...yes we are boring.

Not a big fan of the “hot” wings. But I do a bbq wing thing that is a big hit with the family. Grill them first. Then smother them in bbq sauce and throw them in the oven at about 185 for all afternoon. Sauce gets good and thick and fall off the bone yummy.

Yes. We’re pretty boring as well. Cheers

Well, up here in Central-Cal, its likely to be carne asada, Pico De Gallo and sweet tea.

Well its New Years eve here today. I put my order in a month ago to pick up Chinese food for tonight , The owner takes orders a month in advance for new yrs eve, They only have takeout on this day. You walk into this place they have tables just lined up with the meals ready to go. Tell them what time you want to pick up and bang they are pretty much on time. people are just coming and going. The food is Fabulous!! So just my Wife and myself going to have a quiet evening to bring in the New Year!
