New Red Hot Chili Peppers Tune...

I tried...I made it to about 45 seconds. A new record for me.
HAHA Robert,

Kathy and I were talking about my Nephew's Aspherger's and how some of his oddities manifest themselves.
She asks and wonders, how much of it is Autism and how much is it he was coddled and the rough parts of life haven't smoothed him or toughened him to face the realities of life. In other words he has never had to overcome difficulties and work out fixes to things on his own, therefore things like having an aversion to Prime Numbers, fear of his own shadow, paralysis if a bee comes near him, or like when he was helping me one day and got a splinter in his hand. He literally had his knees buckle and he slumped to the ground as I tried to pull this nearly invisible splinter from his hand. Here is a 6'3 235 lbs kid, fainting like a frail flower over a teeney splinter.

Or things like not being able to stop thinking about whatever his mind is fixated on, instead of answering his mother when she asked what food he wanted when they were in the drive thru or the time a car almost ran him over if mom hadn't yelled his name and said " watch that car!!"

She finally ordered for him and he got pot luck. His answer to her was, "How can I decide on what you are asking me about, when I am thinking about something else?"

It's hard to say. I don't think my Aspbergers has anything to do with my eclectic musical tastes.

I like music that has a rock n roll vibe. If a song doesn't grab me in the first 15 seconds, I will never listen to it again.

Some examples....

Crazy Train, Sign Of The Gypsy Queen, Man On The Silver Mountain, Rainbow In The Dark, Wicked Sensation, all of these songs immediately grabbed me.

I never got past 30 seconds of Eminence Front, anything Jethro Tull, most all of Areosmith's catalog, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Green Day, Blink-182 and many others considered to be hugely popular. (Interestingly, I liked Good Charlotte)

I've actually gone back, many years later, and forced myself to listen to a lot of these songs to see if I missed anything and I realized my 30 second gut feeling was right.

Everything about me is based on feel, vibe, guitar tone, attitude and an aura of sonic vengeance.

I don't think I can attribute that to any of my personality disorders.

BTW Robert, I definitely do not see your manner and ways of approaching things as a personality disorder, but more of a combination of " ways" you are comfortable with and have worked out in your learning and development in order to make the most of your God given interests and talents.

I thought your handle "chilipeppermaniac" was because you liked hot peppers.
HAHA, Robert, it is a little of both. I like the RHCP kind and the Jalapeno, Habanero and Ghost kinds.

I was blessed to have had a stepdad who was cerebral and used common sense and moderation in life in order to curb the highs and lows and ramifications of impetuous or irrational and stupid behaviors like was the norm of my real dad.

He also liked those little flakes of red pepper to sprinkle on his food. HAHA
