New old amp day

Yesterday evening I got myself a Traynor YCV-50 blue for $100, don't know if it works and the dude told me someone left it in his closet 10 years ago and forgot about it. He thinks there's a faulty tube !
Anyway, for $100 I can't go wrong and I like the Musicman speaker that was in the beast.
More to come when I try it

UPDATE : The faulty tube was actually two missing 12ax7a in the preamp section :D
I had some in the shop so I cleaned up all the contacts and put some Deoxit everywhere needed
and fired up the beast.
Man this thing is LOUD !!! I replaced 2 of the 12ax7a for some 12au7 Mullard I had in
an old 1955 Hammond M-3 I dismantled years ago, it tamed the machine exactly where I wanted it.
Happy camper here and $100 well spent :D

Hope all of y'all are BETTER than WELL! I'm a bit late to THIS party. I've been rolling around with this 1960's A cab since the 90s. It has outlasted FOUR heads, and I've transformed it at least 3 times,... one of which was a Marshall MODE FOUR, you know, the head that EVERYONE talks $#!+ about. (That's a whole other story. I blew it up while playing Pulled Pork, a Sex Bobomb-esk tune I wrote which I play the bass line on on guitar with a pitch shifter effect.) I'll just say, the heaviest overdrive distortion channel mixed with low frequencies combined with a screaming wah pedal and the Mode 4 are not good bedfellows. There was a miniature mushroom cloud,...
So, after gluing burlap all over this A cab, (removing that was a BLAST, let me tell ya), and Banana Yellow Tolex for The Proletarians era, it has now arrived at its final finish with Wine Taurus Tolex, etched copper medallions, brass hardware to keep the cabs and head locked together, (see pics), I even copper plated the damn CASTERS! Also plated the Marshall logo from the aforementioned M4 to affix to the custom acrylic I had made for the new head face plate, added lighting inside the head and in front of the speakers, a custom expanded steel grate and some off- white piping. Phew, what a job THAT all was. After all this, I hope I'm able to attach pics, lol

Also bought a B cab, new to me, used, from Guitar Center, (last time I bought ANYTHING from THAT useless center...) A 1960 B cab, with 4 NOT CELESTIAN SPEAKERS. Came all the way from TX, (to NY), I made them refund me 150 bucks... was originally 300.
