I've been using a little Yamaha THR 5 in my office for the past year or so, but decided to upgrade a bit since I spend to much time here, so picked up the Spark 2 the other day:

Wow, this thing cooks. Incredible tones, even before you start messing with the app, etc. (which I have not done yet). These really do live up to the hype if anyone is considering, and they are on sale at GC right now.
 
Ive never used the app. The Spark 2 is 50 watt. Mine is a 40 watt. Your Spark 2 has 5 inch speakers in it and mine has the 4 inch so there are a bit of difference. I also got a new Boss Dual Cube but tge Spark sounds bigger,better.

Honestly, it was a bit of an impulse buy, so I am actually not very familiar with the specs. I am sure I will never need 50 watts of juice out of it, though, as it was purchased for my office where I have to keep things pretty tame (except weekends). I like that it works like a regular amp and it's effortless to get great tones out of it. Simple is better.
 
These amps are not like toy amps.there well made and sound great.no pedals layin around either. And at 299$ its a good deal. I only owe Sweetwater a couple hundred dollars so the Spark 2 might be next on the list.

Yeah. Those get me as well. Home Depot is almost always doing a “spend $250 and get 6 months interest free.” Paid for my my laptop thru PayPal on a 6 month interest free. I know some folk have had a bad experience with PP…. But at least in my case, I’ve had no issues. Until I do, I’ll keep using them.
