I've never seen, or even heard of, that before. That's crazy.
My biggest problem with Gibson has been frets popping up. All my Gibsons have at least on fret than won't stay down. My Standard is the worst with several frets.

Wow! I have Gibbys from 73, 75, 76, 79 and a few from 2016 on. No issues fret wise at all.I've never seen, or even heard of, that before. That's crazy.

It's very frustrating. I about to have them glued down, I don't know what else to do.
Steve, do you have wide humidity variations? I have 15 Gibsons, the oldest a 77 LPC, none have fret issues.I've never seen, or even heard of, that before. That's crazy.

I don't think so. I know I did in the past, but not since I moved last year out of my basement apartment. And now that I think about it, these issues haven't been dealt with since I moved. I have other guitars (Warmoth) that are kept in the same environment and they don't have any issues, it's only my Gibsons.
I have never had that problem, and I have no advice.
That was my thought too. It would make the fretboard expand and contract.

HAHA, many did. I just looked at the title and the body and said MMM Pretty. Just like I do my women. If she is pretty and has a hot body, I am cooked.
My grandson has a bolt on Chibson LP it is a Tea burst that he plays all the time, its stock as it came from a friend of mine.
AND I doooooooooooo love me some Mitch Gibsons, SPECIALLY THAT V

There you go with that BFG again. Believe it or not, my missing the high bid on a Green BFG led me to getting my first SG. It turned out to be my killer BLACK 3 knob 1989 SG Special with the Bill Lawrence Circuit Board pups.I thought about it, but I have one that's all blacked out. I think I'll leave this one a little fancy.

Other than the obvious " making the striing path straighter through the nut," I like the increased distance of where the 3rd and 4th strings travel past the 2nd and 5th tuning posts.

I don't think so. My '94 Ibanez S540 LTD has large shark inlays on It. No issues on inlays.This guitar it's way better built than any Gibson ever made IMHO. I think block inlays falls down because they glued them unproperly.
