Well, I've actually had it for a couple of weeks, but had to see if we bonded before commiting.

Another horse trade with none other than our own Ferengi Ambassador of Trade, eSGEe.

It's a mid 90's U.S. made Peavey Predator AX.
It's the first 25.5" scale length Strat type guitar that I've ever bonded with.

It snaps, pops & quacks like a Strat should.
The neck feels like an old friend. Low action and a dream to play.
It started life as a sonic blue kinda color that is mellowing into a nice surf / seafoam green.

It reminds me of the older Jeff Beck Strats with the Lace Sensors.
Looks like it's gonna be a keeper.

Thanks Adrian!

These are really nice guitars. I look for them on Craig’s List because you sometimes find them really cheap. If I find one for $100 or less I snap it up, clean it up, set it up, and give it away to a young music student. They are well made, very playable, and will last a lifetime.

Nice but whats there to hack up Hack ?
Oh my. That will be a problem.
Already triple pickups, actually four.
And I like the stock pickups that are in there.
With the five way switch like a Strat, and the three way toggle switching humbucker, single coil and "turbo" mode, there's plenty of tonal options.
The fact that it's perfect as it sits is a real buzzkill for me, modwise.
But maybe it's a turning point. A sign.
It's a first for me in so many ways...

Nice!
Take it as a blessing; sometimes someone special and quirky comes along and though you feel the need to change her, she is "just right" the way she is because changing her might take away that quirky thing that makes her special.
And you can invest the time otherwise used wrenching to just play her.

But thats, just, you know, my opinion, man.
But if Adrian peed on my rug, err, I mean rubbed his junk on it, theres like, rules rules, man.
I should just relax but,

Tell you what....I've played more than a few guitars and sometimes...the best feeling and sounding guitars are not the expensive, name brand models...
