New Guitar Incoming! In maybe 2 weeks

After a slight workout -
CAVEAT - I tend to set my amps however I like given a particular guitar and tend to higher gain so subtle tonalities are mostly lost on me. I tend not to compare.
That said, I compared rhe Iceman with his SD SH-14 br8dge to an SD Distortion loaded Ibby Prestige.
The Iceman seemed to have more... body? Meatier? Hard to describe. Less compression a bit, still lots of high end sizzle but seemed to have added girth perhaps.
Enough that the next PU change may well be one of those over theSH-6 Distprtion!
An excellent sounding guitar.

This is actually kinda bluesy n cool if you wait for the chorus.

I really depends. My MIM Strat does not get hummy and buzzy. Now. I did swap pups after one died. Used that as an excuse to replace all three. So I may have just got lucky in the noise canceling department.

Next time I change strings I think I’m gonna pull it apart and copper tape the pup and control cavity.

All the new teles are 100% shielded at the factory.
Control cavity, jack tunnel, PU cavities, pick guard (foil), all shielded at the factory.

However the cheap carbon black shielding paint may not have been the ideal choice.
I would have gone with copper foil (conductive adhesive) on top of the original factory shielding paint.
2 layers is much better.

Now I'm going to use pure silver foil for the bottom layer instead of paint.
Then copper foil for the top layer.

Silver is reportedly the ultimate.

So pointing a light at just a few shards with a snoot or flashlight? No, I was lucky to get this! I do not have room in the basement currently to set up a proper studio so it was a cramped shoot!!!
I need to get camera lower to remove that reflection on bottom point. Also, If I had space I could set up the black drop in front to completely remove any reflections and shoot around it.
 
@Jethro Rocker this is what I was thinking Photoshop mockup. Not even sure if it's possible, the feature light probably would reflect in ALL
the shards. But in my experience in regards to lighting and FX you need to imagine it first, then find a way to make it possible LOL!

Now I see the original image on my desktop rather than my phone, i do see how keeping this this
clean of dust and prints is probably a challenge LOL! Cleaned up a tad digitally here

I also think possibly hitting it with a hard sidelight, even from further off, may work to accent all the edges of the glass

The flash off ceiling did indeed reflect on the top horn and near centre last time. Might be on an outtake, too many reflections in front.

Yes dust is harder to see until shot and enlarged. I coulda given it a quick dusting first. Case fuzz is some of that.
