Anyone think it is too dark after the stain?

For me, it's kind of hard to tell. Your pics look like a flash was used, which probably makes the guitar's color look more bright than in normal lighting. But a glossy finish will look good and add some more brilliance to it.

neck and fingerboard wood are ambrosia maple

¼ brass front position markers, 3/32 aluminum side position markers

10 degree fingerboard radius
