New Guitar Build: The Blackout Stratocaster w/ Bonus 2nd Build!

I got mine unfinished. Did gloss nitro on the front of the headstock and matte on the back side. Boy does that stuff stink!
I have had excellent results with mightymite necks, and I don’t pay much attention to scale length, only the width of the neck at the nut, cannot play with a narrow neck, Hell I can barely play anyway!
Cheers Mitch

My first guitar was a beat up '68 SG and never touched anything but Gibsons for 30 years. You get a little set in your ways after that. Like an idiot I gave that guitar to my brother. He has it hanging on a wall to worship. I paid $200 for it. I wonder what the pickups are worth today?

The first real guitar I bought in 79 was a strat, I did some horse trading to snag a 76 explorer, after selling them in 83 I didn’t get another quality guitar till 2 years ago, don’t get me wrong I put together some partscasters, and snagged a couple of really nice Epi’s but now I have the best of both!

My uncle gave me my first guitar a 1958 Gretsch Double Anniversary in 1972 when I was 12. I never learned to play so he took it back. He gave it to me again in 1979 when I was 19. I never learned to play.
He took it back in 1982 and traded it in for a Bass Guitar and Amp because he was in a gigging band and needed new gear...oh the regrets I have! Looked like this...
