The mounting plates, that Gibson uses in those P-90/mini hum routes, will accommodate either pickup type.
When you pull a pickup out, you should see a metal plate that looks something like this…


See the 4 hole row:
Inner 2 holes for P-90
Outer 2 holes for mini humbucker

I see that there are several aftermarket options available now…that’s very cool.

Yep - here's a pic of the gold top during my pup swap.
Threaded plates, machine screws and springs make adjustments way easier than foam pads and wood screws.

Yes!!! Excellent view! And let’s not forget that there are other viable options for this type of rout…from Seymour Duncan, GFS, and I imagine more…

Edit: upon looking….what’s up with GFS…a lot of models not available anymore/right now.

They've always been hit or miss for me.
They get stuff in batches (from China), so perhaps Monty Hall with the orange hair is putting a big beautiful kink in the supply chain.

Sometimes hard to put together a build kit of everything you want.
Haven't ordered from them since the thinline build.

They have run out of certain model pickups in the past. I have a set of GFS P90’s on the shelf.
They came with pickup covers to allow to fit in full hum opening. I have yet to install them.
