New Gary Clark Jr. SG Signature Model...3 P90's

To be honest it's a cool looking guitar so was the DT 2015 SG tone turd I got will never buy a guitar with out playing it first.
Now this guitar flips my switch.

I really like the 3 P-90 pick ups on the guitar and the 24 frets. P-90 pickups are very popular these days. They have their own unique sound and tone. Currently I don't have a guitar with P-90s but I would sure like to own one sometime in the future...if I can find space to store it.

Now that $999 Frebird V from Sambo's has me gassing.
I'm fickle. I can turn that V into a VII with a stroke of the router.

If it's the one I am thinking (2015) I urge you to play before you buy it. Before I got my 'bird and I was still GASsing pretty bad I was playing every one I could get my hands on. The local Sam Ash had a 2015 that was a floor model with a couple of scratches (that didn't bother me) and they were blowing it out for a ridiculous price. Try as I might to love it because the price was right and it sounded freaking incredible, and I went back there over and over again over the course of probably 6 weeks, I could not get along with the neck. Everything people disliked about the wider neck on the 2015's was exaggerated on the Firebird - they are already a touch wider and flatter than other Slim Tapers, and on the 2015 it felt like I was trying to play an aircraft carrier. I compared it to other Firebirds, to other 2015 SG's, and it was definitely a monster. The other, full-price, 2015 Firebird they had in the shop was the same way. I ended up just getting a 2016 when they came out and it is absolutely perfect.
