New Family Photo

Fantastic collection. That collage is a cool idea.
Hmmm...
Thanks, yeah, the collage idea is so much more practical than hauling everything out and taking a shot of a physical grouping. I've done that too, but in my case that's an all-day project.

The last time I managed was 2022, so I'm due for another "driveway shot" soon. Although the stable is about 90% the same, maybe 95%, there are a few changes. We're about to take off for a long Spring Break vacay (3/15-4/3), but when we get back I'll have to find a weekend with good weather and do it all again.

That's some good looking landscaping...

Thanks, the funny (not so funny at the time) thing is, it was actually a two day project. I got everything set up on a Saturday morning and afternoon, and then noticed that I was one bass short (my cheapie Thunderbird). I couldn't figure out what I'd done with it, for hours. I finally remembered that I had lent it to one of my son's friends. By the time he brought it over, it was dark! I had to move everything back into the garage overnight, then drag it back out onto the driveway a second time the next day, on Sunday.

Still, those photos have gotten a lot of mileage in the last 4 years. So it was worth it!

Well I cheated and used mostly existing shots then set up as a collage in PS.

I'd love to do something like this, but all my stuff is down in the cellar. The thought of dragging it all upstairs and outside, setting it up, and taking it all back downstairs again by myself does nothing to motivate me to do so.

Comprendo. That's why I don't retake the shot whenever a piece goes or arrives, and why it's been 4 years.

We don't have cellars in Florida. But my guitars are stored in the upstairs of our house, so stairs are involved for my shots too. Fortunately the amps are in the garage, so no stairs for them. That would not be doable.

Everything I have is in the basement. So... nope...
