NEw exclusive SG "colors"

I don't like the tortoiseshell thing on, well, pretty much any guitar, except maybe an acoustic. So, I'm with ya, there.

But, I'm of a different mind on the cream binding, depending on the overall color scheme. My SG Original 2, with a dark cherry body, yellowish tuning keys, and rosewood fretboard, has the cream binding on the neck and I really like it on that guitar. the color of the other plastics is important. As mentioned, the tuning keys are the traditional, translucent, yellowish color (they aren't that "snot green" color). Plus, the handle on the Maestro vibrola is the same color. So, the cream binding actually is more consistent and appealing on this instrument. I think a white binding might actually clash somewhat.

But, it would be bad on something like my silverburst Les Paul Custom with ebony fretboard and all chrome hardware. The bright white binding is best on that one.

I doubt it takes 10 years----SGJ models were 550 new in 2014 and have dropped to 400 sometimes 375 they look very nice -- thats a 25% drop in 5 years so Im guessing these will be 800.00 before 2020
the SG SPecial was 1500.00 new in 2014
they can be scored for 800 bucks now.............thats a crap ton of depreciation
