New Cheezies day!! (Well-Hung content)

That is really awesome!! LOVE IT!!! Congrats!!

Did you do the Litchtenberg scarring on the body yourself? If you did, I have questions. I always wanted to do that myself but have been unsuccessful so far.

It looks great, I'd love some notes on the process from start to finish.
Here is a vid of part of the last one we did. My kid who is an electrician built the rig by using a microwave transformer and a variac and also utilizes a foot switch (kill switch).
Through quite a bit of experimenting we have found that not all wood is a good candidate for a burn. And it’s pretty random, you get what you get so to speak.
Soaking the wood with an electrolyte solution (baking soda) and let it soak in for a while. Then zap the hell out of it.
After it’s burned I clean the wood getting as much charred and loose crap off as you can with a wire brush. Then I use a wood cleaner with oxalic acid and more scrubbing with the brush. You can use water to help clean up but I try not to or as little as possible.
As far as prepping the wood for finish I have some regrets with a couple of the projects I have done. I sanded the wood to what would be a good smooth surface that’s ready for finishing but went too far and lost a lot of the fine branches. But trial end error is kind of the only way to figure that out.
Then u less you want to stain the body or do something else like a bit more strategic burning its time to fill with epoxy. Again lots of trial and error involved here as applying too much can cause lots of work for yourself. And sanding back on the epoxy can cause you to lose more of the fine details it not careful.
Then on to final finishing I have found a nitro clear that works really well, then painting and sanding, sanding and painting, wet sanding and wet sanding and then polishing and polishing and polishing. ;):ROFLMAO:. I have another body I need to get with the kid here in the next few weeks to get it burned.
I plan on spending a few hours a week for a few months to devote to each project. If I start one in the spring I am finishing by August.
Here is my favorite one we did
