Finally found a Yamaha THR100HD.

It is technically a modeler but the models aren't specified, which is fine.
I really like the sound of my little Yamaha THR 10. Recording it direct from headphone sounds amazing.
So I wanted similar that can cook through speakers.
The best part besides sound wise is that both channels are the same, they can be set for any of the amp types rather than each channel being a specific voicing. It is really 2 amps in one.
No presets. Set each channel where you want for the song , 1 can be clean or crunch for a few songs and Lead for the rest.
This for me is way more convenient than working with presets.
It is very versatile and lightweight and small.

That's pretty awesome really. The power selection on the rear is what really grabbed my attention, where you can switch the power tube sound around and then the Class A /Ab selector. I don't think I've ever seen any modeler attempt that before!

And it would seem you can blend two different amps together in this with the 1+2 switch? That's even cooler, considering you could not only use it as a boost for soloing but could use to blend two different tones together entirely.

From what Ive gathered since you posted this, is the channels are basically
Solid- Based upon Mk2 Polytone Solidstate amps
Clean-Based on a Fender Dual Reverb
Crunch- Based on a VOX AC30
Lead- Based on a Marshall ( between 2203 and 900)
Modern- Based on a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

Interesting,

Tbe music academy had me play through this at our NASCAR half time event in February 2022.

The academy is a Yamaha dealer and they get great sponsorship deals on Yamaha and Line 6 equipment.

Oh? You found that posted somewhere? The Crunch with a boost doesn't sound like a Vox to me, but hey, I dunno. I have never played one. Sounded like old school Marshall. I suspect the tube arrangement on the back will affect it for sure too. Also, since each channel has a Gain, Volume and master, turning the Volume up gets a power amp type distortion.
Yes both channels can be mixed. A bit of Crunch Mixed with balls out will add some clarity etc.

I knew you had played one there. With your limited time with it, how did it perform?

So with identical channels as mentioned, one can do lots.
Ex.
The JVM410 is 4 channels of fire breathing Marshall. The Crunch channel 2 in Red mode is like a hot rodded 800. Lots of low end and punch. Channel 3 is way different with way more gain.
SO If I like the voicing of channel 2 and want to go to a solo, I can hit Master Volume 2 for a volume boost but to get more gain outta channel 2 I need to boost up front with a pedal.
The little Yamaha allows me to change voicing on both channels at any time and even have them both the same, one with more gain and volume for example.
Very nice.
No LCD display noodling stuff either

It seemed good to me, very adjustable. Lots of tonal possibilities.

This is what I found, so nothing is "official" due to Yamaha avoiding any potential litigation for using other brand names without acquiring the rights but this is also allegedly backed by John Kim, one of the designers of the THR amps

And there is this

You did more research on it than I did!! :D
