I bought this off reverb as non functional.
Turns out it was being switched from Russian 240v to North American 120v and someone either gave up on it or just whatever.... It sat in a warehouse in Canada for 13 years and someone found it and put it up on reverb.

I emailed the company for info about it, turns out it's the first one ever made. Serial number is 000000001
Pretty cool.

I got it in and took it to my amp tech to finish the transformer work.
I Just got it home and fixed a couple hours ago to give it it's first run through.

That Amp sounds amazing! and looks good too! No need for the Marshall now LOL..
 
Well....
I turned it on a second time and .... The red switch lights up, but that's it!

Fiddled around with it a bit... Might have to go back to the tech. Ugh!

I unplugged it and let it sit all night in hopes it may fire up this morning but..... We'll see.

Are you sure the speaker impedance is correct? This could make it overheat or shut off.
There might be a thermal shutoff switch...
 
Just picked the Stonehead back up from my tech. He said it blew the rectifier. He added a small cap on the upstream side.
It's been done for a week, but haven't had time to go get it until today.

Just realized I didn't click my OD off for the clean channel ha ha.
No big, I don't know anything about cleans anyhow.


I Used a T-75 speaker, so it's a tad bit dark. I'll get better recording soon.



Edit: . . . And it's been so long since I had a Solid State amp that I have forgotten I don't need an Overdrive pedal at all !..... What a dumb dumb.

I'll dig out some distortion pedals and mess around with recording some tastier tones tomorrow.
