His name is Piglet. He has a tail that looks like a really tight corkscrew. We usually rename the cats we get from the shelter but in this case the name suits him. Not because of the tail though. He is a very shy little guy, just like Piglet in Winnie the Pooh. He was a rescue from a cat hoarder and is what they call an under-socialized cat. He is a scaredy cat. He has spent his first three days under our bed. He only comes out to :poo:, pee, and eat. He shredded the cover on the bottom of the box spring and climbs up into the box spring. We have to chase him out before we go to bed. The shelter gave us all sorts of reading material on how to deal with under-socialized cats. Anyway he’s a keeper.

Congrats on the new kitty. All of our cats are ferals that were trapped at either Logan Airport in Boston or JFK in New York. Usually reading to them as they hide, and leaving a trail of ham for them to come within a couple of feet of you works well.

Boris was a dumpster diver that hated being in a house, and was quite miserable. Now, he's adopted me as his pet human, and is my shadow.

He is stoned out of his mind. Part of his shyness is the pain meds. He was neutered the day before we got him. We had three days of pain meds for him. The last dose is still active. We give it to him in the morning. By the early evening he gets more active.

It took us two years after our last cat needed to be put down. It was quite traumatic. She was perfectly fine then she was not. Took her to the vet because she was lethargic and hadn't eaten in a couple of days. She never left the vet.
 
Shannon rescued a kitten from in front of a convenience store a week or so ago....... still have only seen "flashes" of it ......mostly stays under the bed....... semi isolation -- its not ready for "Gen Pop" here on the farm ...............frankly there are days IM NOT READY for Gen Pop here on the FARM!
