Echo Six String. Used Martin's on my Ovation for years till my youngest borrowed it while in college. He strung it up with Elixers, which is what was on it when I got it back. Since then I've done Martins again and another brand (maybe Ernie Balls), and I've gone back and stuck with the Elixers. Sounds better and the darn things last forever.

....can anyone recommend a good FULL RICH sounding ----flatwound???? or halfround? ---- love the guitar--- hate the scratchy scratchy when i slide ---I could go (and may) full on regular style jazz flatwounds------- but I am curious if there is something else ..

Try the Elixer Polywebs. They have a coating that reduces some of that scratchy sound. They also will be a bit mellower than regular, uncoated bronze strings.

I've used the Poly & Nanoweb (?) and don't have a problem with either.

I was not that impressed with he Elixirs (nanowebs) when I tried them on a Jasmine Acoustic I kept for all of a week.......they didnt help it.......

Anyone tried these??????
