I just pre-ordered this beautiful amp! It's based on a Tweed Champ 5C1 Circuit. Here is a blurb from the builder. The entire thing is hand made including the chassis!

Class A single ended tube amp Head with curly maple accents with satin lacquer finish

NOS 6SJ7 Pre-Amp Tube
JJ 6V6 Power Tube
JJ 5Y3 Rectifier Tube

Standby switch.
Bypass-able tone pot keeping its true raw untouched tone.
A solid state rectifier switch help tighten up the low end, you may find this useful if using fuzz or overdrive pedals and the optional power tube love the extra voltage the solid state rectifier supply's. The solid state rectifier always shares the load with the tube rectifier extending its life also protects the amp from a failed rectifier tube short.
The over sized sized transformers allow for a added bias switch to run an Optional 6L6 or 5881 Power-Tube for 10 watts. Parallel speaker outputs and a 4, 8 or 16 ohm impedance selector switch.

I'm excited to see how it performs with the different tubes! It will be nice to have a choice of 6V6, 6L6 and 5881 if it holds up and sounds nice...

I also like the SS or Tube Rectifier switch option!
Wow! Very interesting and cool-looking amp. I can't wait for some gutshot Porn on this one.

I would like to find out more on the circuit used to switch from 6V6 to 6L6. On my Allen Amp's Chihuahua, it also has and output tranny that can produce 10 watts from a 6L6, or 6 watts from a 6V6. But to change between those two power tubes on the Chihuahua, I would also have to R&R two power resistors for different valued resistors.

I'll try and dig into it when the amp comes. It's a Custom build and a couple weeks out...

Very cool.
Interested in the way the single triode preamp differs from the later 12ax7.
EDIT: single gain stage I meant as the 6sj7 tube has more electrodes.

Beginning of the month I try to plug in and play / rotate through all my tube amps and was just thinking I can really crank the 5F1/2A.

I forgot to add: I would also have to switch the output tranny's impedance wires at the output jack. With an 8 ohm speaker and a 6V6, the amp has to be connected with the OT's 4 ohm tap. With a 6L6, the OT's 8 ohm tap is used.

Also, there's a picture on Ear Fuzz Effects' Reverb.com site of a gutshot of the Ear Fuzz amp:

How did I miss that photo? Oh well...

I'm going to be getting build pictures of mine so that will be nice.
