never been enticed by solar

I've never been a fan of fancy inlays on guitars. It's totally not my thing. I prefer guitars that look like a workingman's tool. No flashy finishes or whatever, just a get your hands dirty music machine.
I like normal inlays, i dont like trees and fish and whatever elese, i have fish looking snake on my ltd and it keeps throwing me off when i do leads :) so after that i wont get any other inlays other than normal ones.
I do like flashy guitars that screams bling bling :)

I've been surfing the "outlet" side for a while now. Sooooo tempting to get a discounted Solar. Some of the blems are tiny and non-consequential. Others, like "poor fretwork" I would avoid like the plague.

A project with a colored epoxy inlay is at the top of my project list. Maybe even a guitar!
I’m going to do a small countertop with an epoxy inlay in the basement. I’ve got 2 computer paper boxes full of twist off bottle caps that I’ll do a mosaic on the board and then build a dam along the edges and fill with about 3/4” of epoxy. Just started to look into it. Have you priced that epoxy filler? It like $200 a gallon !

No, I never priced it out. I have just watched Youtube videos on how it is done. I got the bandsaw yesterday (and assembled most of it), so I am eager for projects! I will let you know what I source out. Please make a thread of your counter project!
