never been enticed by solar

I've looked at those, as I think Ola is a cool dude and doesn't afraid of anything, but I have yet to wrap my fingers around the neck of one. Intrigued by the evertune also. Another thing I have zero hands on experience with.

I dont see myself playing anything other than Jacksons and ltd maybe strat when im old really old like oak tree.

I'm not sure I like any of them either.
Was looking into the V shape at one point, but it's just a hair too extreme for me.....the fact that the body isn't really symmetrical bothers my OC/DC-like tendencies lol

I really can't get past anything as pointy as a Jackson king V without the symmetry, don't know why.

I think you are my lost brother real brother, my brother here we have nothing in common and I keep questioning my mum if he is my real brother.... He likes Enrique Eglassias, Bon jovi and poop like that... he drinks lemonade instead of beer, we are day and night different:)

as with you, you are almost like me :)
 
I want a Solar pretty damn bad. Been saving up for a while and just starting to get to the point of which one....

I've been GASing for a Solar for a years now, but like McBlink said I've yet to wrap my hands around a neck and until I do so I'm not super comfortable shelling out cash for one. Almost bought one off a buddy a few months back, but he had a clearance one and it had a line running down the upper section fo the body (bass side) that looked like either a raised grain or crack that got cleared over or some such that would have driven me nuts, so I passed.

My other hesitation is not wanting to pay the import fees. I've seen guys say they've shelled out upwards of $300 in shipping and customs/import fees. I'm too cheap to spend that much on something with literally no residual value when I just don't know that I'm going to love the guitar.

On the plus side, I've only encountered one guy who felt he got a bad guitar when he received his new one. I encouraged him to reach out to Ola and within hours he had a replacement on the way. Talk about amazing customer service.

Sooner or later I'll come across a used one in a local shop...

You are in U.S and A. go down Jackson factory and start making demands to give you a guitar if not lay in there till they do.

In my case I’m too primitive to get pass Jackson guitars, I felt like a traitor when I got ltds :)

Import fees sucks.....

LOL. Well, I already have Jacksons that I love. But, I spent 25 years only playing one brand (Ibanez) and that ship has sailed.

I like Ibanez my teacher had it and i was playing it at his house. I might get Satriani sig Ibanez, I like Steve Vai sig but fret bord inlay will throw me off
 
The older MIJ ones, from the 90s, were utterly amazing. The new ones don't seem to have that same quality level... at least not the ones I've played.

Good compromise is an RG450 or 550 for the deluxe. Damn near a JEM minus the monkey grip cutout but it has the sharkfin/lightning kinda inlay
 
me too the dominating color scheme in my fleet....is brown or brown burst LOL -- but a few red and blue .... and vanilla ones have krept in -- still no "bling" machines-- I prefer plain with hot rodded inerds.... you know like this
