Dude, that looks more like a 8-1/2 ton winch, than a hose reel.
Are you sure they didn't mix that up with some other customer's order?

Thats a fearsome beast! Clearly well built thru and thru. And hell yes! In a water war with the hose it could handle, it would be the equivalent of bringing a 5 megaton warhead to a stick fight lol
 
Very indestructible looking, I like it.
I have one of these plastic POS reels that leaks more water than it flows.

I went through a ton of those and finally decided to bite the bullet and get 2 of these. It will be cheaper over time. As grandma used to say, sometimes cheap is expensive - or my new favorite, the most expensive tool is the one you keep buying over and over
