NCD!

That looks like a fairly tight weave, even if you can see through it a bit.
Shiny also makes me think it may be synthetic.
A re-grill with some paper cloth like Marshall somweave might make a noticeable difference.

I don't think the weave is as tight as it looks like in my pics. I can hold it up in front of my face and see perfectly thru it. I've tested it again with and without the grill on and I think it was just my imagination the other day. I'm not going to go thru the trouble of changing a thing about this cab.

Even my Greenback sounds good in it and I don't like Greenbacks. It sounds really good in fact, if it had a little more bottom end it might even be better than my Creamback, but it's just not.

I've rolled speakers again now that I've had it a few days and every speaker I've tried sounds good, but to my ears (and it's nit pickin') the Creamback wins, the Nighthawk is a very close second. Then the Greenback followed by the WGS ET65. I think if my FANE 70 was broken in it would probably knock a couple of those back. I still haven't tried an Alnico because they're still wired up together and soldered and I've been lazy about it. Maybe tomorrow.

I finally got to try an Alnico Cream 90 today....holy cow it sounds good! Wow!!

Some of y'all know what all I've been thru looking for a cab that sounds like I want it to. I didn't expect to think much of it based on how they sounded in my EVH cab, but in this cab it's a whole different animal and well, it's the best I've had yet.

Edit: I was planning to sell one of my Cream 90s, but it sounds so good that now I'm thinking about selling my other speakers (except the Nighthawk) to fund another one of these cabs (no matter what I have to pay for it) to put the other one in. It's that good.
