NCD - New Cab Day - Panama 2x10

I would at this juncture like to mention the PANAMA speakers are very capable functional and well "toned" --- so perhaps this entire exercise is unnecessary????

They started out using WGS, then their own(I’m guessing re-branded WGS...at least for a while, or a few models)...so IMO good speakers indeed...I’m not sure about what they’re using now.
One could try to find the manufacturer code, stamped somewhere on the basket or magnet edge usually, and find out the actual maker.

Edit: note-WGS is technically an assembler of speakers, using parts sourced from manufacturers of their choosing, and thus don’t have an EIA code of their own...that I can find.

Absolutely not necessary, but we must "what if" after it was stated it doesn't look swap friendly.
Agree - Hot knife, cheap at Harbor freight would do for the baffle cleats.

That 2x10 garage brew I was contemplating was gonna sport at least 1 10" WGS GReen Beret.

It is good to know your options, but the info is very relevant for those considering a Panama cab. It is inexpensive and a quality construction, so many may buy it with the intention of replacing the speakers and flipping the old ones. I am not sure that is a good plan. Thankfully, I like the speakers, but they do have a lot of low end and do not work with my Blackheart (which is rather dark). I guess it is always necessary to match the right head and cab. I should mention that I paid $ 175 for this can shipped to my door.

I will cut a sound sample tonight and see what you fellas think.

I’ve, unfortunately, paid more than that for an empty 2x12. It is a partially open back/sealed, convertible cab, with a removable grill cloth screen....also front loaded.
Yours is much more aesthetically pleasing, loaded with speakers, and less expensive.
A very attractive deal indeed.
