Not really. Very astute observation. If the front wheel cocks, it wants to tip. That said, it does roll.Is that machine easy to move around on that concrete floor?
I have not even heard of a coolant. Please explain.Do you have a coolant set up with that?
Thanks for the perspective. That helps. It's a band saw. It has a flexible blade. When I worked in the machine shop they were only used to get "close" to the desired size. You have a Bridgeport or CNC mill to actually cut the piece.
Usually, you have a reservoir with a recirculating pump to shoot coolant/lubricant at the cut. It lubricates and cools to save the blade and from overheating the piece being cut. Generally a good idea with a metal saw.I have not even heard of a coolant. Please explain.
I will work on wood for the time being. This machine does not get slow enough to cut ferrous metals and will get by on soft metals. I may need some advice when I step up my game!Usually, you have a reservoir with a recirculating pump to shoot coolant/lubricant at the cut. It lubricates and cools to save the blade and from overheating the piece being cut. Generally a good idea with a metal saw.
Thanks!Here's some info
That is a good tip. Thank you!Ray one thing to do is round the back of the blade while running with a diamond stone smooth the sharp edges
practice my friend Betsy is a master with my band-saws I learned a lot just watching her.
