Got lucky, Saw this last night & met just now. 1992 Made in FujiGen factory. As a player , for heavies live its been Ibby since early 90's for me. Any MIJ neck is insane play ability & this plays like a 4 stringer. Why i get, Well last 48 hours has been wild for me, joined a local Original band needing a bass player. They are in D , drop C & Drop B but its not all mushed out & all the members are old schoolish & can freakin play !! This is gonna be a fun summer. Back on bass prob where i belong anyways lol

Selling my old ibanez bass, haven't played it in a while. It's beat up but still plays really good.

Set up in Drop C & B standard. Here is my tools, Going dif route this time. Always Ampeg SVT player but going with Boss GT1 pedal as preamp & 300 watt power amp into 2 SVTav 2x10 cabs. For this type music & bar stages, Small footprint, But super tight low end cause i have preset all the mud out of the low tunings.Have RC Booster & EQ pedal in front with Metal muff & chorus for the freight train sounds..4 stomps anything i need for a gig. The EQ & RC booster are basically 2 dif EQ filters for 2 dif mix ranges i am in.

Man forgot how simple bass is . You just remove mud in certain EQ range & have at it. Singer has Dean V & steps in at end of songs & oh man can he shred but not this speed for speed sake on tube we get nauseated with..lol,,melodic in the pocket-emotional even tho fast.

Nice , sounds like fun.
Been trying for 3 years now to find a band that has fun but takes the music serious. Probably last go round, did find out by playing bass the options are unlimited almost it seems. Lots of demand it seems.

In a interesting spot, only really played guitar cause ours quit right before the studio in 2015. It was the only way to forge on. It would make sense to switch the focus for a bit to bass & enjoy maybe what is limited time left to actually gig before final pack it in for playing live.

Packed up for practice tonight. Not sure what amp & cab they have set up. But the room is PA set & ready to go. When i get gig cab am able to leave it there.

Bringing Both Ibby's Drop C & Standard B

Almost doesn't matter what amp going to set it flat unless its an Ampeg.

My set up to cop anything needed

Joyo Analog Chorus

INTO
Into Sansamp PSA 2 (setting 30-40 is bass amps) This thing can dial in like nothing i ever used before with the gain & ability to trim the amp from mild to over driving & save it. Take a look at those knobs..there is some very precise tweaking there-which really can place a bass quickly in the band mix

Worked all week for instant stomp to clear bottom mud & boost & then lead pop. Also Spooky :poo: with the chorus.
Way more at home in this situation than any guitar. Feeling is, we will plug in & play immediately. Talked with guitarist about the songs & its gonna be typical peddle of the open B or C like most heavies do. Will be prepared to octave hop to
