Ive had this beastie about a week now--- very different BOOM tone than the more MODERN Hartke (that is at least 10 years old now) Simple eSGEe proof controls -- recently found in amusty swamp bunker and refurbished by our very own @CabanaBoy in a pile of barn finds he drug to his hobbit hole to repair ...... this was the first of them to see the light of day -- of COURSE I called dibs the minute I saw it and damn glad I did ........... what a lovely little vintage addition to the boom boom in the doom room

So, I have all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as well. Can we hang out?

sure come on by bubba bring Boo im sure he will get along with the crew ;) ......... they might need to warm up to you though :)

its a QUIRKY old butt amp head -- not a TON of wattage (maybe 30??) but run through the hartke bass cab its tonal bliss -- been diggin on it all afternoon

Aren’t Hartkes one of the worst sounding amps anyway? Them and G-Ks.

I’m sure the National sounds far superior. If they’re the same company that made resonator guitars, it must be good.

I see your three Pirates and raise you my three Matrix movies. We both have it covered on Hobbit and LOTR movies.

I got those as well.... Hmm, Star Wars collectors set?
And truthfully. The Pirates movies were just quirky enough they were all decent. The first Matrix movie was awesome. To me, the next two were a little weird.... and considering the subject matter...... and that’s just me.

Having a philosophy major it was just another rabbit hole for me. Was a bit gross with the pods and all though.

well its all in what ya like I guess.
I have had the Hartke b600 for well over a decade now-- its my "go to" bass amp
ive tried several other options...all failed.
Marshall
Orange
Peavey
Vox
Acoustic
KUSTOM (vintage and newer)
Ashdown (the most disappointing actually sooo wanted to love that thing-- MAG 300 combo FYI ) sounded like crotched A$$ next to the Hartke .....
Ampeg
Bugera
a plethora of Fender Rumbles (my second favorite bass amp by the way) and what I would have as my go to if the hartke pooped out.
but ive settled on the Hartke

Seem to work for
SHeehan
Wooten
Ellefson
I even think that Geezer fella used em for a spot ....

ANYWHOO

I likes my Hartke for my uses -- it wouldnt be worth 2 shits at the Albert Hall though

The National brings good tones -- real deep cleans at useable home levels again probably not gonna beat a drummer.... but simple -- good boom

I’m a plus 11 on you.

Saw the first Star Wars movie with my bride to be. Married in 1978. That would be Episode 4 now.
I saw it with my brother. Definitely not as much fun. Castle Theater Manchester IA.

Probably the Cinemas in Milan Illinois. (Quad Cities) Theater isn’t there anymore. Neither is the Drive In that was next to it.
