Expecting 18"-24" of light dry snow by the time it stops snowing tonight. The steady 50 mph winds are blowing all the snow from my neighbor's yard up against my cars and house. I hate when the winds are from the northeast.

Yes you are getting quite a storm, I believe that same storm is coming our way next week. Stay safe! I can understand what you are saying about the winds blowing, causing the drifting snow up around your cars and house. Thats a lot of snow to get at one time.

That's pretty much the amount of snow we got last week here in T.O., about 2 feet. That's gonna be challenging to say the least, especially at the time of clearing the streets and digging out. Stay safe, John!

Yes that is wild! nobody needs that for sure, Thats dangerous levels of snow, hopefully it doesn't get anywhere near that amount.

Well….I’m currently in the heart of the blizzard that John mentioned…I’m on the South Shore of the Boston area, and John is on the North Shore…we’re not too far away from each other.Kinda like a travel guitar, yes?... The Koa top and body are astounding! We NEED to hear how it sounds, Don... Don' t keep us hanging on too long!
I’m not going to be firing up the recording gear, in fear of the power going…well…we keep having little blips in the power, so far anyway. Tonight(maybe), or probably tomorrow, there will be shoveling and snow blowing in the cards for me…so we’ll see.

You know, that's the main feature that bugs me about my GS Mini. I wish it was like most Taylors at 25 1/2"... And I wish it was a 12 fretter! But Taylor advertises these as a "modern day parlor guitar". But for the price, the sound and build quality of these hecho en Mexico Taylor's is very reasonable.

Yeah, I wanted an alternative to my Mexi-Martin’s 25.5-ish scale…I was looking for something around 24, and found a few…but none that I found were as attractive to me as the GS Mini…
I actually debated the new Godin parlor…but….it’s a 25.5 scale, and it’s a 12 fret…

For context in regards to the current snow situation…
That’s a drift that’s about four feet, or more, high…it’s tough to tell how much has actually fallen. My guesstimate is around 24 inches so far….still snowing pretty hard…supposedly it will continue for another four hours…so…maybe around 30 inches here when it’s all done. My cover blew off the woodpile again, and the smoker almost lost its cover too.

its 49 here at the moment with 29 predicted for tonight-- a "surprise" hard freeze last week killed ALL Shannons fruit trees and veggie plants--- we are making room for the doves and the cats in the house tonight -- the pigs have houses and shelter and straw/bedding the goats have a house and bedding as well.
