NAD - Peavey TNT 130

My best guess would be the 80's, probably the mid 80's. Not sure how long they made them. I miss the good ole Peavey USA days. Good gear at good prices for the gigging musician.

Does it have the Black Widow speaker. Those really pumped out a cool bass tone. I played in a bar jam for a year or so that had one as the house amp. It rattled the place.

Only wish it had a line out for recording.

Maybe I will buy one of those little 15 watt "cube" amps for a line out recording feature???

5 hour practice session tonight and the maiden voyage of the TNT 130.

It took a while to get it adjusted right. I ended up running on the "low gain" input with moderate gain and lots of volume. Most settings were around 12-O'clock.

Initially, I was clipping quite a bit, so I rolled off some lows. After that tweak, my clipping light only came on intermittently, which the manual says is acceptable.

The amp really does hit hard. Its quiet. It doesn't break up when pushed, and we were really pouring the coal to it tonight that's for sure!!!!!

The TNT 130 got a workout last night. progressively, we kept turning things up. After I while, I found I was running the Peavey just about full-on. The tone was good. no distortion....

Cool deal the TNT 130 it hung tuff at near full volume. I had a Peavey Combo 300 bass amp a while back that I loved. I have Peavey Ultra 12" combo I used to sit on top of the combo and preamp into the combo. I also sat an extra 12" cab on top of the Ultra that came out of the Ultra. It actually made for a very toneful, powerful sound for gigging bars, etc.
