NAD Peavey JSX Full Stack

Cleanest high gain amp ever made, as I learned, Joe Satch wanted a super clean ch for all his pedals. Seems like they took the clean channel circuit off and older model amp and they just nailed it.

I love the fluff YouTube videos where he compares the 6505/5150 to the JSX calling the 6505 a wild drunken college student and the JSX an older more refined gentleman (or something along those lines)
I saw that. really really liking the JSX, just recorded it with 5150, its so tight & articulate. One can learn to lean on this amp for recording for sure. I even like the XXX cab with it.

Just put some EEC83 tubes i had from tweaking a Mesa recto. Wow, just in position 1, instant feel change & really warmed the attack up.

Now, it was great just the way it was with EH 12ax7, But now it became a dual tone amp. Really warmed it up & sorta was looking for this amp to be more Marshall like anyways.

Probably saved me getting another amp. How fun this & the 5150 right beside are to play everyday. Hard to go to my other amps because of how "present" these amps are.

Being old school, love the heavies but i might just favor a slight spongy attack vs that super tight & sometimes kinda sterile result.

Just thought I'd add that when I need to play or record something very tight (not that I necessarily play that tight). I will plug into the Peavey over the Marshalls or ENGL every time.

They are superbly tight amps!
No doubt. What was cool on last song i did. The 5150 is L & JSX right. Love them both

5150 has the longest thump push with out decay..like a palm mute blooms in a nasty good way...on & on & on and is cool to use for effect

JSX is immediate & will stop on a dime with palm mute when needed
