I may try to contact Peavey. Thanks FracStrat!I got one directly from Peavey a few years ago .. Was like 30 bucks and it came with a nice pc of that groovy red high temp foam for the tube tips too !!!
HNAD congratulations on a fine piece of gear, I have never played any Peavey personally, but have had quite a few friends over the years that have played the snot out of them, I have played a 6505, but not long enough to actually know what it is capable of! Congratulations once again on your score !Going to try the amp at rehearsal tonight. We’ll see how it goes.

This is good information to have. Thank you 67plexi.I have repaired around 200 Peavey Classic 30 amps and it was the power transformer every time.
After replacing with the new improved PT never seen them again. As far as replacement parts Peavey is the best to deal with.
I played the amp last night at rehearsal.
Overall it sounded pretty good. One thing I found was that because of the common EQ, I had to have the clean channel overly bright in order to prevent the overdrive channel from being too dark. This was with my Fender HSS strat. I was on the middle pickup of the strat so there is no tone control in the HSS configuration.
I will have to fiddle with it some more.
Leeds, there is no tone control for the middle pickup in the HSS strat configuration so no tone adjustment is possible.
Maybe some wiring mods to allow guitar’s middle tone control to affect both neck and middle pickup are in order. We will have to see.
