Yes um, got the final piece of tone shaping. Best bedroom amp BTW if one must use that way, Master each channel then overall Level for both channels then Boost.
I run clean pushed & use Guitar volume & Gain side Vintage. Probably the most seamless channel switched ever used. Also my mids are way up & gain not so high. Its not just a metal machine ,its an all around beast for what ever you need & takes pedals on clean like Fender. Used pro reverb to set clean & then set rest to play well with the Marshall in recording,
Also, Greenbacks in closed cab & V type & crate Celsestion on bottom from 90's in semi open, so we got no typical scoop like the kiddies on the tube do, This rig is huge sounding at whisper levels or any loudness one might want.

Time to record massive amounts now. Maybe a LP yet to stick the Dirty finger pickups have kicking around.50 recto.jpg50 Recto a.jpg

Those are badazz amps. I had a single rec. Could curdle milk at 50 ft. Nice!

Wow what an afternoon of jamming today. Talk about 1 piece of gear completely changing your whole tonal spectrum.

Spent 3 hours on clean channel in both modes, amazing Fender on steroids & edge of break. P90's are scary clear, like each string holds up even under gain

Then tonite flipped to Gain channel, yeah it got brutal like only a recto can do that specific tone but after that onslaught, more or less adjusted to that thick liquid mesa lead tone.

Its right at my Pro Reverb in the clean & i mean they are so close but where Fender basically stops (its ok - its what they are the best at) the Mesa can go anywhere.

Having a Marshall sitting right beside it, didn't even worry about finding that tone but got every where around it for a very nice 1-2 punch going forward.

Also, spent 3 weeks on the Origin 20, what a good amp no doubt. Wind it up & let the circuit do the thing it does best.

Nice score. I still need a Origin but I most likely will never get another Mesa.
I have plenty stuff for now.
Gotta comment on the Origin 20. As things develop, drummer in, bass player close to committing. As i get set up to record & see what amp will dominate to be able to go live the music.

The Origin 20 on half setting has some serious mojo, if its in with the drummer volume wise, Could go with that.

The 20 seems to be a hair modern but not much compared to my 4 holers i have had. Very familiar with working that type amp. This take on it is very unique, I play it with MV & Vol dimed & like a good ol plexi not much needs adjusted when doing this except your guitar knobs & maybe Klon & treble boost for certain pops.

Now another part of the equation is the small AVT 4x12 with 5150 up top(very greenbackish but more modern & Emi Swampers down low) The cab has punch & thickness, seems to bring out the Amps ability without turning to mush. Its so sensitive on the Guitar knobs when its all dimed- so easy live to work this way.

Playing these amps beside eachother all day does reveal why a Marshall is killer in a band setting & at same time killer annoying on its own. Even Turning Don's detectors on, lol its just doing its job & doing it well
