First check..did the the presence & treble respond like the JCA20hv..yes it did & did it stay clear under gain dimed..yes..did it boost properly..yes. It's a mean lil bugger !
Kinda blown away by the Jet City amps.
Crunch channel- slow progressive crunch up the gain knob. Just a hair more aggressive than HV but still cleans up well
OD Channel- very aggressive yet so usable even dimed..these amps dont fizz.
Into 4x12's has been a blast. Pushing greenbacks & using speaker compression as part of it really conjures up some good old school fun.
The way the treble & presence can be dialed in tandem & the bass coming up with volume is so much how i play. With right guitar can get what need off the guitar knobs & maybe a boost or Klon Cl for a few minor bumps in EQ. These wind up and hit right. Truly can set the channels to be switched for a gig. On 4-5 gain on OD is was Dokken- Ratt type tone instantly. The gain is well designed in this amp to stay tight yet slay right through
