First check..did the the presence & treble respond like the JCA20hv..yes it did & did it stay clear under gain dimed..yes..did it boost properly..yes. It's a mean lil bugger !
Kinda blown away by the Jet City amps.

Crunch channel- slow progressive crunch up the gain knob. Just a hair more aggressive than HV but still cleans up well

OD Channel- very aggressive yet so usable even dimed..these amps dont fizz.

Into 4x12's has been a blast. Pushing greenbacks & using speaker compression as part of it really conjures up some good old school fun.
The way the treble & presence can be dialed in tandem & the bass coming up with volume is so much how i play. With right guitar can get what need off the guitar knobs & maybe a boost or Klon Cl for a few minor bumps in EQ. These wind up and hit right. Truly can set the channels to be switched for a gig. On 4-5 gain on OD is was Dokken- Ratt type tone instantly. The gain is well designed in this amp to stay tight yet slay right throughJCA22.jpgJCA22 rear.jpgJCA22 20v 2204.jpg

I'm extremely interested in the new Soldano SLO-30...
Me too. Started approaching things a lil bit dif lately. getting the OR15 has led me to smaller amps working hard on 4x12's. I can play at volume for recording cause of an iso but am finding so much good stuff with these. The Jet City's both respond excellent & the marshall 3203 30 watter was a gem. It was a matter of pairing with the right 4x12..the single 12 & 2x12's still squashed a bit. Something interesting happened..the harmonics & even crunch was available at right about band level. having the wound up sound available on the guitar volume knob got me right in the 5 cleanish..6 starting to crunch & dime for leads. Found that control was just not getting on the big iron squashed down. Even the Triple Rec MV works like this. Bet i am in the 20-30 watt range most of the time these days. That SLO could be "the" amp. The ones i have experienced have such usable gain & such fantastic pick dynamics.

The Jet City just got has that type of ability..from a raunchy blues tone or nice strumming to tight gain right from the stomp.Been a/b ing like mad lately and learning so much. Guess am just a plug n play at usual level & let it rip, using a few guitars to change the theme a bit. get all fussy recording but playing live very simple
