If it works, I would like to keep it. What would you deem a proper discount? I paid $ 95.Send it back!! Or get a healthy discount at the very least!
Agreed. Packer is more than 50% responsible. I hope it still works. That's the result of a poor packing job. Any package should be able to survive that ding without damaging the goods inside.
nice amp. hope is sounds great.
Here is what the seller said. That is a real P!sser for sure. If it works keep it and send a nasty gram for some compensation.

Sorry to hear about that Raymond.
A friend of mine and I were just discussing how crappy FedEx has become.
The one good thing about them is they're good about honoring damage claims.
Please keep me posted on how everything works out and let me know if you were happy with the way I had it packed inside the box.

Seriously?
I went with a softer approachObviously the person is a total ditz. Tell him "Hell No I am NOT Pleased".

To be honest, a bit of padding may have protected against their poor handling. Assuming it is in working order, I am sure we can work something out. Thanks.

Sorry you had so many issues Chili.Actually Ray, as someone who has sold a number of drum kits and a bunch of guitars on ebay, I have both received damaged items and had one of my items damaged in shipping.
Here is my experience and how I suggest handling this.
First issue was a cracked shell in a well packed set of drums, ( UPS) Informed the seller, he filed for UPS insurance claim and their reps came out to inspect the damage and packing. He got the refund and bought me a replacement drum. I got to keep the old one, as UPS agents told me it was of no use to them.
2nd, I sold a kit on ebay and had to ship to Minn. Both boxes arrived ok but the buyer said one of the bass drum hoops got cracked despite how well I packed it. ( I filed and UPS went to inspect my boxes and packing) they tried to disallow the claim. I got insistent and they made good to pay me replacement cost of a Pearl bass hoop ( approximately $165-$190 if I remember right.
**** I HAD already sent him a replacement off my spare bass drum in the same finish.
SO, as I have heard in many recent cases, UPS will do all they can to disallow claims now. If they pull that with your seller, then ask for money back and buy a different amp. If he balks, say you want 1/2 off at least.
ReverbWas that ebay or reverb? if reverb they have a claims process......
Cool! If it was not a private seller, my attitude would be much different. Both times mine was ebay back in the early 2000's.
I made out both times too. Wound up getting 2 brand new Pearl bass hoops from Pearl for the price of just the 1 because of some slight flaws in the first replacement one.
Plus on the floor tom replacement, I got a damaged drum which I stop drilled holes at the ends of the crack and epoxied the 9 inch crack shut with filler and plan to sand and paint it a different color plus I get a free set of hardware and drum heads and hoops at the worst if the shell ever fails.
NICE!!Wow, today must be national AMP day. The top one (new) and the bottom one (used) arrived today. Ray, sorry to hear about your damage.
