sealed 2x10

Oh my..shoulda done it soon as it came out ! Being a Bass player first, will review this very thoroughly..not so much a Guitar player..but bass is my passion.pf50t (2).jpgpf50t1.jpgpf50t2 (2).jpg

Pure bliss. The exact right level to drive & capture a sealed SVT sound or B-15

SVT210av-great representation of SVT sealed sound..punchy..hit ultra bass button & it fills out at a level right before flub
r in PA w/subs. 1 more & ya got your stage covered. Its loud on its own but not gig loud. Still built up pressure like 8x10, its that sealed immediate Ampeg SVT punch at low usable house levels

1x15- bass rolled off guitar vol.there is your Motown sound-nailed it

8x10 it pushed it , would cover a stage vol but not on own in outdoor gig

2x15 jbls..the bomb--it is loud & punchy-close to gig if not metal

This is an amazing head. If you do session work. It has 3 ways to capture sound & all 3 are dif & usable. Ampeg can be flat lined or a metallic grind..key is bass & guitar together have to layer..The 5 mid EQ shift allows for precise placement. All tube path.well..it reveals just like a plexi-no sloppiness or it will come thru-but your technique from thumb-to slap-pick..it really enhances..no way on solid state. Comparing to sansamp(great device) the organic tone capture is there.vs what i always called flat line.no personality bass lines..they can round off more or punch a lil in dynamics with a tube pre & the predictable tube post effect.

I am so excited for next song..last 6 did the bass lines in half hour & we didn't allow for some opposing 4ths & lil turn arounds..Just used my looper to lay a bass line down & played tele along to it, Proper bass lines mean less busy guitar line. really want that lane for the singer opened up. Hopefully when we get to the swamp. We can make some real songs instead of 6hr slap togethers

5 hours in.. my fingers..lol

SVT cab sealed sound is def the punch vs ported Lf cabs. Ported..good for nice low thump-bump but the SVT is that quick definitive attack

Most sensitive amp i ever used. You can hear your fingers touch the strings...very cool for not having to pull the string off the bass to get a SS to do something

Set mids--then roll treble off..what a dif in recording all that treble on a bass circuit is in the guitar range...if you play reg bass & don't have pop & all that slap...the mids can be a nuisance

ran a looper with a recorded bass line & played guitar along to it. Wow...does EQ make a dif... the clash-the congestion..it really can be moved out of the way. last year i fought everything..just so much in the same range. never knew until i turned things down & started to listen..i approach this like a layer cake now..taking the cake ready to the studio already to go..not making the sound guy separate it all.

Bass is very critical to music..its part of the wave to ride. It takes a lot of time to a/b everything but hearing the results is so worth it. Playing guitar over a bass in its pocket..allowed me to back off the guitar bass side a lil...better tone was able to be achieved across the board by less is more approach & subtractive EQ vs adding gain back in o fizz it upPF50t3.jpg
