The thing is, ANYTHING i buy I end up getting buyers remorse...i mean sure it vanishes within a few weeks or so, but its still Brutal

I never get BUYER's remorse, well once. Bought a Midtown Custom, and returned it, only because I could get the SG and 2 other guitars for same money,

Now Seller's remorse, Lotsa times

Slayer is awesome but if you are looking for dark...then let me introduce you to the sub genre of Death Core....

Lol I was about to mention that......Slayer is relatively mild when it comes to heavy music these days. It is dark, but not really in the same way...it gets much much darker lol

Me neither, really. But I saw them perform once, they were on the bill with a few other bands that I went to see. Still a cool show though.
