My Signature!!!

What happens if the DeLorean is going exactly 88mph when it runs you over?

It's hard to say.

That was my plan.

I'm guessing we would have been transported back to 1955. Come to think of it, the Stratocaster was released in 1954, and Leo had been making amps before then.

So, we probably could have bought an original Strat and a Fender amp and......

******

Wait a minute........

WHAAAAAAAT.........!?!?!?!?!?

Adrian, I should have seriously run you over with that DeLorean....just think of all the primo gear we could have bought!

I am an avowed pacifist. Growing up in logging camps and boom towns, I saw a lot of fights, but managed to stay out of them, mostly by minding my own business or by being a wise ass. When I left home at 16 and moved to the big city, I encountered the first poop chute who had to be physically repelled. Having worked as a logger and fisherman, I had no difficulty wielding the available length of Mosrite in a defensive manner, rendering him much more pliable. Appropriately enough, this happened in Rantoul, Il. at The Bucket O' Blood Saloon, a favorite watering hole for nearby Chanute AFB. In the intervening years, I have had to defend myself or someone else on perhaps a handful of occasions and only one of those was potentially mortally serious. As I think I've commented elsewhere, you can call me just about anything you like, in person, face to face. On the internet, I am even more liberal. Ask Relic or Black, we've thrown some shots at one another and not a mark on us. My best friend locally is the former chairman of the state republican party. We have been buddies since I was VP of the SDS in college. I don't give a rats behind that someone likes a tuner that I think looks like recycled meat tins. I don't care to be told that his way is right and I am old and stupid.

Where are these recycled meat tins..........I could build something with those-----

You could have been an early Rock God...

Sorry but my $$$ would be on Raiyn.
Nothing against our bud Biddlin, he's a good Joe.
But Raiyn is one king sized MoFo...
And knowing him personally, he's a gentle giant and a kind human, but I would hate to see him if he were pissed off.
That boy could do some serious damage.

So... Who's taking bets?

Wow! He sounds like one big dude...someone I would nott mess with. Anyway I think he is a good soul! Pease my brother.

Just be aware, once you delete your accounts or libraries, any image you've posted on any website or forum that is linked to a photo in that library or account will be lost on those websites or forums, too. In the image's place will be some generic error image indicating the image can't be found.

I realize TTR essentially can function as it's own image host. But, if you've used Photobucket for images up till now, you'll need to go back and attempt to recreate the photos in your posts using TTR's tool, if you want to have the pics in those posts.

For me, I'm keeping my Photobucket account for now, just so all my posts and threads with photos don't lose them...here, at ETSG, and elsewhere. We'll see how long that lasts. But, I'm not going to use Photobucket, anymore. I'm gonna try to stay under the radar with them. If they do snag me, like they did with BlackSG91 or RVA, I will delete my account.

I'll use the TTR tool, for now. Or, as I mentioned earlier, I may register my own domain and build my own private image host site for my purposes.

Go for it Smitty...I would join in a heartbeat! Peace me brother.:)

I have a correction to make to my post above.

I read the ToS at Photobucket a little more closely. The Plus 300 package allows image linking, but NOT 3rd party hosting for $99.99 per year. The Plus 500 package allows BOTH image linking and 3rd party hosting for $399.99 per year.

To be totally honest, I'm not quite sure if the method we use here to display images is technically more correctly defined as Image Linking or 3rd Party Hosting. My initial thought would be that it is Image Linking, but I can't find how Photobucket defines it.

Still, $100.00 is a lot to pay to show pictures.

I think I've found an answer to my own question. This is from the Photobucket support:

"What is 3rd party hosting?

Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website.

For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting."

What is 3rd party hosting?

So, the way I read that is that when we post a link here and the image displays on the page, that is third-party hosting...which means the $400.00 plan.

Fun....

FWIW... None of my images posted here or at ETSG are linked thru Photobucket. They are all uploaded direct thru the forum's website. The max allowable file size is 1 meg per image, which is more than enough for big pics with decent resolution. If the pics are too big, it's very easy to resize them on the PC or on my Smartphone.

I do have a current Photobucket account that I used to use for uploading pics to forums like Metroamp and Carvin. My images are still showing up at Metromps, haven't checked Carvin. But, my Photobucket storage level is at 4% of the free 2GBs... or 80Mbs out of 2000Mbs.

But as usual, when I access the Photobucket site thru the PC, there's so much adware loading up, that I need to be extra patient while navigating to the info that I'm searching for. And, if I use my smartphone, all that adware takes over my phone and switches to pages of bull-poop... :BH:. Sometimes I have to shutdown the browser and start all over to use Photobucket for what it was originally intended for.

That's interesting. I, too, am using only a small amount. I'm only at 1.54% of my storage level, and my pics are still showing. I resize all my pics to a smaller size before loading to Photobucket, so that's why my level is pretty low, in spite of all the images I've loaded.

Well, so much for my theory about flying under the radar due to not using much of my storage at Photobucket.

I've been snagged, too. All my photos have been replaced with the Photobucket Dial of Death.

Thus, begins the arduous process of attempting to recreate my photos in my posts, and my signature.
