My setup for the weekend

Our first gig with the new band lineup. One of the guitar players and the drummer quit. It was amiable. They wanted to jam once a week. We wanted to practice once a week and gig occasionally. We added a female keyboard/vocalist. Still auditioning drummers but we have a top notch sub for this gig. He already plays in two bands so he can't commit to ours. The Jazz will be my main bass with the Yamaha for backup.

No they didn't want to gig at all. They just wanted to get together a few times a month and play some music. Nothing wrong with that. The other three of us want to play live. We are not in it for the money. We are all in our late forties to sixties. We all have jobs and a life outside of music. Some of us get a rush playing live, some just want to play some music.
